Just tried to enter Race 1 on 1st March, but waiting list already! Good to see a few DTCC names on the start sheet though.

I've just entered Race 2 on 5th April - there are four of us registered already!

It's going to be a good racing season for us, I can tell........

The SC website is advising to still enter race 1 since the field will not be selected on a 1st entry basis!

yeah, there's a big thread about this on the Braveheart forum. I'm off to Mallorca for a week on the 7th, so have promised to spend that weekend "at home" now before I get a week on the bike!

Can't wait.......

Organiser has advised that as of today (Monday) he has 147 entries, more or less equally split between A & B race, so looks like its going to selection again.

Fingers crossed more of the DTCC lads get in this time.

Hi Ross,

Surprised that you didn't get in after riding the first one! I withdrew when we got back from Mallorca - got family stuff on.

Hi All

Am planning on going down, can get a lift from Glasgow but again would be happy and grateful to share petrol costs with anyone willing to transport myself and bike down and the remains back up. Hopefully conditions will improve - foot of snow at the mo'... You'd be very unlucky not to get a race with second spot and even with 4th spot. 3 reserve spots were taken at Gifford.

ta, Dave

Frustrating, the only word to sum up Saturday.

A last minute decision on Friday night, following an e-mail from the organiser saying "your in", meant I travelled 200 miles (now stay in Insch) to Wanlockhead for R2.

Feeling fit, if not slightly tired, I thought I was gonna be in for some better luck, after crashing in R1.

Not to be, rear wheel puncture within 3 miles. Was up the front too. Bugger! Wait what seemed like an age for the spare wheel, which had obviously been repairing other bikes.

On the road again, could still see the main group and a few others, was making it back on until.....second rear wheel puncture. By this time the spare wheels were long gone and I was out of the race having after only 4 miles.

Needless to say it spoiled my weekend. 400 miles, £60, for nothing.

All i can do is hope I make round 3. No way am I ready to give up.

Well done Chris and Dave. Dont think I had met you before Chris but you were doing DTCC proud!

I think I've a sprig of that Lucky White Heather as well:

Entered 2 off Super6 - didn't get in either
Entered Deeside 10m TT - cancelled
Entered TGC 10m TT - cancelled

Things can only get better - as the old song goes
