I did it! I kicked ass - only it was my own . First lap was fairly comfortable but start of the second the wind was throwing riders around and I touched wheels and next thing I knew I was on the deck. Bye bye to a pair of wheels and a lever. So that was the end of the race for me but I enjoyed watching Duncan and Ross complete the race - well done! Especially in that wind. Atmosphere was great and free barbie went down well. What a turnout! Can't wait for Round 2.

Sorry to hear you crashed and burned Dave.

At least we got 2 finishers - well done Ross and Duncan. We can also claim an interest in Patrick Roux's placing. Some of you may remember Patrick from a couple of years ago when he lived in Kintore - it was him and Dave Henderson (another name from the past) who started the Kintore sunday rides. Patrick has joined the ERC while studying at uni in Embra.

Can confirm - it was extremely tough across one section into the wind. Not quite as dramatic as David, but I came down with a bunch on the first (yes first) lap. By the time I stood up, sorted myself out, everyone was gone. It was a hard slog to the finish. So annoying.

Well done on finishing, sounds like a tough day Ross.
Nae luck Dave but I'm sure you will bounce back for the 2nd race.
