Hi All

Does anyone know when the Stoney evenin' runs recommence? I assume it's next week since the clocks are changing this weekend(?i think?) but just to be sure.

Thanks

Dave

David,
There are 3 weeks left of the current Stoney Turbo sessions, so I would imagine after they have finished. Although, there will no doubt be a few who head onto the road earlier. I will post on the FFT website when they are officially starting and at what time. Feel free to head down sooner, but best set off early to catch the daylight.

Good ride this week, in the faster bunch. Hacked out to Stonehaven from Aberdeen, good run over the slug, through and off down South Deeside, carried straight on at the Netherley turning.

Colin, is the ride going to Auchnblae next week as threatened?

Alex,

I think it will be going to Auchenblae. I'm trying to get someone to do me a map of the route to post on the website beforehand. Check FFT website and I'll post on there. Also expect we will leave 15 mins later this week. Last group at around 18:45.

Link to map of AUchenblae route, now on Fleet Feet Website (I think I have got the route right).
We will try the route this Wednesday and see how it goes.
1st group off at 18:30ish, last/fast group 18:45.

How about over the Slug and left towards Strachan then over the Cairn followed by Drumtochty - about 45 miles. OK practically it becomes difficult with light etc. but couldn't it be a possibility when it gets lighter still in late May, June, early July.

Hi David,

This is a great route and one that I have done a few times. We have also ridden the route as a group on Sundays a few times. May be a tad too long for a Wednesday ride and very difficult to keep a group together.
Come along and talk to the guys and see what they think. There might be a few takers later in the year.

Thanks for that Colin. It's Wednesday, I'm looking out of my window, and it doesn't look optimistic, but if the weather breaks, I'll be there.

Hello Colin, can you confirm that the run this Wednesday will be at 6:45 again?

And thanks for towing me around 100 miles on Sunday!

Alex,
Yes, the fast group should be off at 18:45. Not sure of the route, we will go with the consensus.
High time someone else posted on this section. Beginning to feel like it should be renamed to 'Stoney' instead of 'Training'
